Abstract

Provide increased capability for torpedos to operate in littoral areas, characterized by shallow water, bottom clutter, high reverberation levels, and countermeasures launched by target platforms. This project will develop a prototype, conduct a field test, and develop a baseline for a parametric sonar mode that can be used concurrently with existing modes on torpedo's to improve performance in a countermeasure environment.
