Abstract
Tests conducted during Phase I of this SBIR project demonstrated that the Stolkraft hull form showed promise for motion reduction, which may result in less injurious effects on high speed craft occupants. However, side-by-side tests were not conducted during Phase I with a similar capacity and loaded standard Navy RIB. Therefore, further testing is required to quantify the relative difference between the Stolkraft and other Navy RIB craft. The goal of the Phase II Base period will be to prepare a Stolkraft boat for Navy evaluation of its ability to reduce vertical accelerations and slamming loads transmitted to the occupants.
