IT CAN BE SHOWN THAT ACCELERATING FIELDS ON THE ORDER OF MV/m CAN BE ACHEIVED WITH STATE-OF-THE-ART SSDs. ALTERNATELY, IF THE HIGH RF POWER IS PIPED OUT OF THE CAVITY VIA WAVE GUIDE OR COAXIAL CABLE, THE SYSTEM IS THEN DEEMED AN ACTIVE RF CAVITY AMPLIFIER, OR ARFCA. IT IS DEMONTRATED THAT TENS OF KW OF RF POWER CAN BE OBTAINED AT ABOUT 80% EFFICIENCY AT UHF TO L-BAND FREQUENCIES.
