Abstract
Abstract Ion cyclotron range of frequency (ICRF) heating is expected to be an important auxiliary heating source for ITER and future fusion reactors, where high Z metallic plasma facing components (PFCs) will be used. The compatibility of high Z PFCs with high power ICRF heating is of considerable interest. Recent experiments in Alcator C-Mod have focused on these issues. Currently, the ICRF antennas for Alcator C-Mod are produced by depositing copper on Inconel straps. However, copper
