Abstract:
The main goal of this work is to develop a more reliable, robust, and accurate measurements of radome transmission properties. As a result, we propose a pilot study in order to design a two-horn testing system and provide several prototype radome testing measurements. The proposed two-horn testing system will be mainly focused on transmission efficiency mechanism. The proposed system features a small testing radome area resulting in high resolution images. Such resolution will dramatically provide significant improvement when compared to currently utilized (in Tinker Air Force Base) far-field measurements. In addition, it is expected for such system to be economical in fabrication as well as operation. Also the system will be far more compact than the current system in use by Tinker AFB and will allow inspections to happen in the same facility the aircraft is being repaired.Small Business Information at Submission:ANAUTICS, INC.
