FROM THE DATA BASE DEVELOPED, T THOSE SKIS AND TECHNOLOGY MOST PROMISING TO FULFILL THE GOALS OF THE CONTRACT WILL BE PURCHASED/CONSTRUCED AND TESTED FOFOR THEIR SUITABILITY AS A MILITARY SNOW SKI. PARTICULAR ATTENTION WILL BE PAID TO DEVELOPING A SKI THAT IS EASY TO TRAIN ON, MEETS RELIABILITY AND MAINTAINABILITY STANDARDS, AS WELL AS BEING SUITABLE FOR MILITARY TYPE SKIING. DURING THE LAST SEVERAL YEARS, THERE HAS BEEN A NUMBER OF TESTS FORA WAXLESS SKI. MOST OF THESE TESTS HAVE RESULTED IN FAILURE FOR A NUMBER OF REASONS. CURRENT TECHNOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENTS OF MATERIAL AND CONSTRUCTION TECHNIQUES HAVE MADE A WAXLESS SNOW SKI A POSSIBILITY AT THIS TIME.
