Abstract

Progeny Systems will develop a low power wireless sensor system that enables high bandwidth transient capture and analysis, which will create actionable conditioned based maintenance (CBM) information at the node. Since the capture of high bandwidth transients and synchronized data acquisition exceed the total amount of wireless data that can be transmitted continuously, the solution to be developed will work within the constraints of the bandwidth provided by a wireless network. Due to the power requirements of constant monitoring for the capture and analysis of transient events, the solution will fully leverage energy harvesting in order to reduce total ownership costs, as well as extend the life of the nodes.
