Phase 2
Fiscal Year: 2014
Title: Using Biomineralization Sealing for Leakage Mitigation in Shale during CO2 Sequestration
Agency: DOE
Contract: DE-SC0010099
Award Amount: $1,000,000.00

Abstract:

Leaky wells are a problem in the oil & amp; gas as well as the geologic carbon sequestration industry. We are developing biologically produced minerals (biocement) to seal potential leakage pathways to ensure environmentally friendly production and storage operations.
