Abstract:
Our phase 1 objective is to build a prototype immunochromatographic test device which is capable of detecting IgM and IgG antibodies specific for Orientia tsutsugamushi in blood, serum or plasma samples from soldiers or civilians. A filed use rapid assayto detect scrub typhus infection that is rapid, one-step, utilizes stable reagents and requires no special storage or equipment requirements.
