Abstract:
This research relates to evoked response testing of humans. The goal is to develop and test a methorecording the middle-latency auditory evoked-potential, to click or tone-pip stimuli at stimulus rep60 Hz, including 40 Hz. This may provide a test of cortical function which is especially sensitive tdeterioration, and which is not presently possible with available technology. It would also permit non the 40-Hz response, which in turn may elucidate the function of 40-Hz oscillations observed in masubcortical areas. The techniques developed in this project would find commercial application in equrecording evoked responses, in general, and the auditory evoked-potential in particular.
