Abstract:
Innovations Plus, LLC is seeking to make the amount of ammunition on hand the firing rate limiter instead of the heat capacity of the barrel. The technical opportunity presented within this Phase I feasibility study is to increase the rate of fire for weapons by properly managing the heat developed in the barrels or gun tubes. Specifically, to increase the sustained rate of fire for light, medium and heavy machine guns through the use of our carbon fiber composite gun barrels.
