Abstract

Amplification Technologies proposes to demonstrate the feasibility of developing novel low light level solid state imaging arrays utilizing the break through technology of discrete amplification technology with very high gain, low noise, high detection efficiency and having no external quenching circuits. It is expected that the proposed devices would have significantly superior performance characteristics than conventional avalanche photodetector arrays and vacuum tube based devices.
