Abstract

A unique dual polarized monopulse sensor configuration having electronically steerable radiation pattern characteristics is combined with new processing algorithms to provide monopulse resolution enhancements for the purposes of differentiating the angles of arrival of multipath and direct path signals in radar and beacon tracking applications. The differentiated angles are then used to remove the influence of multipath from target tracking errors. A demonstration antenna and algorithms are developed.
