Abstract

Soar Technology proposes to develop a Task Examination/Aggregation/Learning system (TEAL) to enable Future Combat Systems (FCS) assets to autonomously perform increasingly complicated tasks over time. Envisioned as part of the FCS “System of Systems” (SoS) approach, TEAL is an independent reasoning module and autonomy trainer integrated with an adjustable autonomy command system and a robotics controller. Systems that TEAL supports will be able to abstract and combine low-level UV tasks into new higher-level tasks - allowing a single warfighter to task multiple heterogeneous platforms using the same high-level command system.
