Abstract

THE PROPOSED DEVICE USES A PROGRAMMED MOSAIC OF HEATER ELEMENTS TO DEVELOP INFRARED SIGNATURES. DYNAMIC SCENES AND MOVING TARGETS CAN BE SIMULATED. THE DEVICE USES TECHNOLOGIES WHICH ARE DERIVATIVES OF ADVANCED FOCAL PLANE ARRAY TECHNOLOGIES. RESISTIVE MATERIAL IS DEPOSITED ON THIN BOARDS, DELINEATED, CIRCUIT CONNECTION MADE USING PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARD TECHNIQUES, AND THE BOARDS ARE ASSEMBLED INTO A MOSAIC. CONTROL IS OBTAINED WITH MUTIPLEXED READOUT AND DRIVER.
