Abstract

This effort will develop and test a long integration mode for radar detection and tracking of small maritime targets at high grazing angles for the Fire Scout radar. This mode will exploit the combination of new innovative Pulse Mode Interleaved (PMI) radar hardware capabilities that enable long integration times while maintaining search area rate to enhance high-grazing-angle sea surface surveillance radar mode performance to detect and discriminate small maritime targets and maintain overall situational awareness.
