Abstract
It is well known that advanced reactive materials (RM) have properties that make them superior to conventional high explosives for certain applications. Among these properties are greater energy release, increased heat production, and extended burn time. Unfortunately, there is currently insufficient knowledge of the details of the reaction process to apply predictive models for the design of more lethal projectiles. This effort is focused on developing and validating the necessary predictive models.
