Abstract

We propose a method of detecting high explosives from large distances using neutron induced gamma-ray detection and imaging. The gamma rays will be detected and imaged using an advanced position-sensitive germanium detector system. The superb position and energy resolution of the detector system coupled with the physics of electron-positron pair production has the sensitivity to locate and identify high explosives at large distances.
