ENVIRONMENTAL OPTIMIZATION FOR PLANT GROWTH IN GREEN- HOUSES REQUIRES TWO MAJOR COMPONENTS: A COMPUTERIZED, INTERACTION ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL SYSTEM AND PLANT GROWTH MODELS TO BE USED AS A BASIS FOR THE CONTROL STRATEGY. A COMPUTERIZED ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL SYSTEM HAS BEEN DEVEL- OPED; SUPPORT IS PROVIDED TO OBTAIN PLANT GROWTH OPTIMI- ZATION INFORMATION.
