Abstract

The development under this effort will take the innovative techniques and concepts implemented in IAVO’s GeoGenesis software and take them to the next level; making them available for operational usage. Currently GeoGenesis spans a broad range of applications including imagery exploitation, registration, orthorectification, mosaicking, as well as DEM generation and editing. Included in GeoGenesis is a stereoscopic viewing and editing capability. The efficacy of these capabilities has been demonstrated using digital aerial and commercial satellite imagery. Under this effort we will both expand the capabilities as well as the supported sensors to provide a software exploitation tool ready for operational usage within the US Navy and other DoD organizations. We will add support for new data and sensor models including NTM, DPPDB, and LIDAR data. In addition to new sensor support we will add innovative viewing, feature extraction, and annotation capabilities to support the image analyst. The resulting software architecture and tool will serve to provide improved exploitation timelines, lower operating costs, and a greater ability to provide rapid inclusion of new modules to supporting emerging requirements.
