Abstract

Use new technology to develop a digitizer capable of accurately reproducing a wide dynamic range, wide bandwidth analog signal.BENEFITS: The military has a pronounced need for acquiring and processing massive amounts of digital data. Our ASIC chip willprovide very compact, low-power FIFOs to store up to 2 us of high-speed data for subsequent processing. Multi-channel rack-mounted systems can be reduced in size and power consumption. These systems could be sold with a computer interface with analysistools to intepret the data.FIFO chips with data rates of Gbps enable the development of fast compact digital scopes, logic analyzers and other data processing equipment. We are not aware of any commercial source of GHz FIFOs.
