Abstract

In this project, we propose to develop a rad hard, monolithically integrated widely tunable optical transmitter capable of operating at data rates of greater than 100Gbps, utilizing advanced multilevel modulation schemes. The transmitter will be developed using an Indium Phosphide monolithic integration platform, minimizing the size, weight and power of the module. The multilevel modulation scheme used provides the best bit rate scalability for lasercom satellite links.
