Abstract

Composite Technology Development, Inc. (CTD) will work jointly with Lockheed Martin Astronautics Company (LMAC) to develop innovative, high-efficiency Elastic Memory Composite (EMC) structural components, such as deployment hinges and booms, for the PowerSail system. These hinges and booms will be both mechanically simple and mass efficient.
