Abstract

The objective of this project is to demonstrate with Marinette Marine (a Manitowoc Company) and Bollinger Shipyards, the shipyards of the Lockheed-Martin LCS project team, that their design software of choice, ShipConstructor (from Albacore Research Ltd.) can, through a middleware developed as part of Atlantec's Topgallantr software suite, be used to automatically develop engineering and production schedules which incorporate highly accurate estimates of labor and material costs and durations for performing the tasks necessary to design and build the Littoral Combat Ship.
