Amendments to the SBIR/STTR Policy Directives published in the Federal Register

On January 8, 2014, the SBA amended its Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Program Policy Directives in response to public comments and input from all parties involved in the program.  The amendments  are published in the Federal Register at https://federalregister.gov/a/2013-31374 for SBIR, and https://federalregister.gov/a/2013-31376 for STTR.  They may also be found by searching for 79 FR 1303 (SBIR) and 79 FR 1309 (STTR).  The amendments include, among other things, modifications to the new benchmark requirements regarding an awardee’s progress towards commercialization.
